Project Description
Jubilate Deo is an African-inspired work with a traditional style call and response theme. The Vivo chorus section is based on moving block chord harmony in a 13/8 rhythm, followed by a contrasting maestoso section “servite Domino in laetitia” which leads into the final joyous Jubilate section with punctuating hand claps!
The Latin text translates as “Make a joyful sound to God. Serve the Lord with gladness.”
This sacred anthem makes a great concert or competition piece!
